Book review – Killing Floor, Jack Reacher.

Killing Floor is the first book in the Jack Reacher series. I have watched the films and wanted to start reading the books. Only recently have I given myself time to read again, I did miss reading.

Written by Lee Childs, Killing Floor introduces Jack Reacher’s character, an ex military solider with no fixed abode who likes to travel. It see’s him being arrested while eating breakfast for a crime he didn’t commit, his relationship with a female character including a few bedroom scenes šŸ˜‰ and how he came to find the real culprit. There is also a few twists which I love in a story. With a book it gives a detailed in-depth account of his thoughts and feelings which I didn’t find in the films. I felt I became really drawn in to his character and could visualise every scene. It is really well written. You have to keep reading to find out what happens next. Jack Reacher is someone you want on your side!

I do like to read a series in order although with this series you don’t have to read them in order which is probably good for some people.

I really enjoy reading murder mysteries. I’m not a romantic story reader and if a book doesn’t grip me with in the first chapter then it’s a no go for me.

There are many twists and turns along the way alongside. Lee Child’s has written the book so well that I was truly sucked in and couldn’t wait to find out ‘who did it’. The ending isn’t what I expected either!

I have never read these books. I have also got out of the habit of reading. Will have to give this a look.
